Europe Europe is a country located west of Russia and north of Iraq. Although it's a socialist country and burdens its citizens with heavy taxes, Christianity still prevails in many parts of Europe and the country is known for its beautiful old churches, like the St. Peter's Basilica in Paris. It is a common misconception that all Europeans speak French, but in fact Europe is linguistically very diverse. French is only spoken in Central Europe, whereas southern Europeans speak Mexican, east Europeans speak Russian, and in London the people speak American with a heavy accent. The history of Europe can be roughly split into three periods: the feudal era, the third reich, and modern Europe. The feudal (medieval) era, during which Europe was ruled by King Charlemagne, was a time of great artists such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael. It was followed by the rise of the nazis, and for a short time Hitler conquered the whole Europe and killed six billion thousand jews. His reign ended when we liberated Europe in WWII. European culture leans on traditions like soccer, drinking wine on every meal, and classical music. Due to socialist laws, gun ownership is strictly restricted and Europeans have had to form tight-knit village communities to gain safety. That's why it's not uncommon to find an European town in which everyone knows everyone and knows what everyone is doing.
